THE FORUM REWARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Forum is an online market research tool owned and operated by The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited (“Royal London” or “we”, “us”, “our”) to gather market research from financial advisers and paraplanners.

Advisers and paraplanners engaging in online market research activities via the Forum (the “Activities”) will be eligible to earn rewards in accordance with these terms and conditions. Royal London has partnered with The Marketing Lounge Partnership (“MLP”) to provide the reward scheme on our behalf.

In these terms and conditions, we use “Members” or “you” or “your” to refer to the advisers and paraplanners performing the Activities via The Forum.

ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION PROCESS

Advisers and paraplanners (and such other persons as Royal London from time to time deems to be eligible for membership) will be invited by Royal London to become Members. Royal London shall have sole, absolute discretion to determine the persons invited to become Members.
In order to become a Member, you must accept our email invitation to join The Forum by complying with the invitation instructions.

Members will be contacted by MLP to invite them to create an online reward account (the Account).

You may only register for one Account per person and your Account is not transferrable. Please do not disclose your Account password to anyone else. We will not be liable for any unauthorised use of your Account resulting from your failing to keep your Account details secure and confidential.

Make sure the identification details you provide to us and/or MLP are accurate as your Membership can be cancelled and Account terminated if we reasonably consider that you have provided inaccurate information when registering for The Forum or for your Account.

You are wholly responsible for use of your Account by any person using your computer and you must ensure that any such person complies with these terms and conditions.

Products or services available as rewards via your Account do not constitute an offer or recommendation of any products or services provided by MLP or Royal London. The information provided regarding the rewards is not intended for distribution to, or use by, any person in any jurisdiction where such distribution or use would be contrary to law or regulation.

ACTIVITIES

As a Member, we may contact you from time to time to invite you to participate in Activities which we consider, at our sole, absolute discretion, to be suited to you. We make no guarantee as to the number of Activities in which you will be asked to participate in any given year of your Membership

REWARDS

Members will earn points by participating in Activities. Only Activities performed via The Forum will be eligible for points.
We will confirm the number of points attributed to each Activity when inviting Members to participate.

Points can be earned and accumulated over a periods of 1 year commencing on [1 December 2020] and then running for each period of 1 calendar year thereafter (the “Reward Year”).

Points earned will be allocated to Member Accounts on a quarterly basis with the first allocation due on [1 March 2020] and then subsequent allocations falling due every 3 months thereafter. All allocations will take place not later than 5 working days following each due date.

Once allocated to your Account, points can be exchanged for such rewards as are made available from time to time for selection via your Account. Each reward will have an allocated points value and you must have a sufficient number of points in your Account to exchange in order to select a reward.

Once you have selected a reward, you will be emailed with details on how to claim. Each reward will have its own terms and conditions set by the reward operator/provider which can be viewed before making your selection.

You can choose to exchange points allocated to your Account for rewards at any time throughout the Reward Year, and any points not spent will accrue to the following quarter(s) of that Reward Year. Members are not able to carry points over into a new Reward Year. In the event that you have unspent points allocated to your Account at the end of a Reward Year (including following termination of Membership), you will be sent a gift card with a value of £1 for every unspent point.

MEMBER CONDUCT

Royal London relies on accurate data that reflects the true opinions of Members. As a Member, you agree to provide truthful and well considered answers to the Activities in which you participate.

It is a condition of your earning points that you refrain from any action which would negatively impact Royal London (or any other Royal London group company), its reputation, products, services, management or employees except when required by law.

TERMINATION

You can terminate your Membership at any time. In the event that you terminate your Membership, your Account will remain open until the end of the Reward Year in which termination of Membership took place.

If you wish to terminate your Membership, please email rladviserpanel@incling.com. We will endeavour to deal with termination requests promptly and in any event within 5 working days.

We reserve the right to terminate your Membership at any time, immediately without specifying a reason. In such an event, your Account will remain open until the end of the Reward Year in which termination of Membership took place.

CONFIDENTIALITY

You must keep confidential any information in your possession or control in your capacity as a Member that is stated to be, or would reasonably be considered to be, confidential.

INTELLUECTUAL PROPERTY

All pages and content provided to you in your capacity as a Member including, but not limited to, text, graphics, audio, video, photographs, surveys, questionnaires, image or video or any other media documents displayed in a survey and logos are proprietary and the intellectual property of, or are authorised for use by, Royal London and its licensors, partners, clients and affiliates. This includes all trademarks, copyrights, patents and confidential information.

Except as expressly permitted by these terms and conditions or by Royal London in writing, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, display, upload, post, transmit or distribute in any way any content made available to you in your capacity as a Member by Royal London or its licensors, partners, clients and affiliates.

DATA PROTECTION

Any personal information you submit to Royal London in your capacity as a Member will be dealt with in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

DISCLAIMER / WARRANTIES

To the extent permitted by applicable law, neither Royal London nor its third-party partners (including MLP) make any warranty, express or implied:

  • with regard to any rewards obtained by Members through participation in The Forum;
  • that The Forum, the Account or the rewards will meet your requirements;
  • that the Activities and the Account will be uninterrupted, timely, free of errors or without defects;
  • as to the results you may obtain by participating in The Forum and/or using the Account or rewards; and/or
  • as to the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained via your Membership of The Forum.

When we or MLP give hypertext links to other locations on the internet, it is for information purposes only. Neither Royal London nor its third-party partners (including MLP) are responsible for the content of any other websites or pages linked from or to the Account website, and we haven't verified the content of any sites we link to. If you follow links to any other websites or pages, this is at your own risk, and we won't be responsible or liable for any damages or losses connected to anything you click on. When you access or link to any other website, please read the terms and privacy notice issued by such other website to determine the policies that apply to information or data maintained by that website. Links to downloadable software sites are for convenience only - neither Royal London nor its third-party partners (including MLP) are responsible or liable for any difficulties or consequences associated with downloading or using the software. Use of any downloaded software is governed by the terms of the license agreement, if any, which accompanies or is provided with the software.

No endorsement or approval of any third parties or their advice, opinions, information, products or services is expressed or implied by any information on our Site.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

VARIATION

All information on The Forum or the Account website is subject to change without notice and without liability.
Royal London reserves the right at any time and from time to time, to modify or amend these terms and conditions or any part thereof, without notice to you. Your continued use of the Account and/or continued participation in the Forum constitute an affirmative acknowledgement of any modification and your continued agreement to be bound by the modified terms and conditions.
